Beebe Selected to NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Director of Student-Athlete Affairs and Event Management, Aaron Beebe has been selected to the NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop, the association announced today. Beebe was one of 30 candidates selected across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III.

"I am excited about being accepted into the NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop," said Beebe. "Through this program, I will be able to enhance my abilities as an athletic administrator along with gaining valuable knowledge that I can pass along to our student-athletes. This will allow them to become better leaders on their respective teams, within the campus community, and after graduation."

The NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop educates and trains athletics administrators on the ins and outs of developing effective, comprehensive leadership curriculum for student-athletes and department staff. Participants in the workshop learn how to structure activities, facilitate discussions, and structure effective sessions.

Over two sessions, participants will also explore the ideal frame works for a leadership academy, discuss the best practices for implementation, learn evaluation methods, and investigate the best strategies to obtain buy-in from key stakeholders and the campus community.

Beebe will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for session one on Sept. 23-25 before heading to session II in Orlando, Florida held from Dec. 2-4.
