Lott Named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker College women's cross country runner Darroneshia Lott was voted the SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2017.

Lott helped the Cobras cross country team place inside the top 10 in two races this season, while finishing second overall twice, and fourth once. In those races the senior has permanently marked herself in the Coker record book with new record times set this season. On Sept. 2 Lott pushed hard in the Carolina Challenge, finishing the 5k in 18:32, good for second all time in Coker history. She now owns four of the top five records in women's 5k's for the Navy and Gold. On Sept. 24 while competing in the Bulldog Stampede, Lott finished second overall with a time of 23:15.9 in the 6k, stamping herself in second place in Coker history.

She is a physical education major from Pensacola, FL and the daughter of Michele and Darron Lott.
