Coker Adds Thompson to Athletics Administrative Staff

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College added Halle Thompson to is athletics administrative staff, Dr. Lynn Griffin, vice president of athletics and athletic facilities, announced today. Thompson will be focusing her efforts on student success and compliance.

"I am extremely excited to have Halle join our administrative team," said Associate AD for Internal Operations Jennifer Bell. "She brings a tremendous amount of energy to a role that is brand new for us as a department.  I look forward to seeing how well the student-athletes relate to her as we work together to help them succeed in the classroom and on their playing fields. In addition, I am thrilled to have her working with me in the area of compliance. This experience should open a lot of doors for her in the future."

Thompson is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she spent four years working with the women's basketball team. In 2016 she worked with ADARE Soccer, a non-profit organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and traveled to Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines to teach soccer to young children.

Thompson attended Andrew Jackson High School where she played and served as a captain for the basketball and softball teams. She led her teams to postseason berths each year.

Hailing from Kershaw, South Carolina, Thompson received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science, with a concentration in Sport Administration. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in College Athletic Administration at Coker College.
