Major: Physical education and sport studies with a concentration in exercise science
Why did you choose Coker? Coker gave me the opportunity to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level.
What is your best memory at Coker (athletic related)? Definitely going to the Division II College World Series last year.
What is your best memory at Coker (non-athletic related)? Of all things, probably making a half-court shot at halftime of the men’s basketball game and getting nothing for it. Go Cobras!
Which athletic team would you play on at Coker other than your own? Maybe the men’s basketball team because of the half-court shot, but most likely the track team because of Schmotzer’s conditioning regimen.
Favorite class: Any John Jewell class
Favorite professor: Dr. John Jewell, of course
Plans after graduation: I plan on attending graduate school back home in California.
Favorite movie: 300 or Warrior

Favorite food: Anything at Golden Dragon

Most prized possession: A baseball signed by Willie Mays and Willie McCovey.

Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it? Spive, not sure how people came up with it but it has stuck.

Why did you choose Coker? Coker gave me the opportunity to pursue an education while continuing to play the sport that I love.
What is your best memory at Coker (athletic related)? Going to Cary, N.C., last season for the Division II College World Series.
What is your best memory at Coker (non-athletic related)? Making connections with good people that I will without a doubt remember for the rest of my life.
Which athletic team would you play on at Coker other than your own? Men’s golf, because there is no running involved.

Plans after graduation: I would love to play the game of baseball as long as I can, but I will also pursue a profession attending dental school.

Why did you choose Coker? I choose Coker because of Dave Schmotzer and the opportunity he gave me to continue my collegiate baseball career.
