HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Coker College women's volleyball player, Taylor du Bray was named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for September.

Du Bray led the Cobras to their best start in 20 years, and currently ranks first in the South Atlantic Conference in kills per set (3.92), second in total kills (204), and third in service aces (24). Du Bray, a junior from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, set the Coker single-season kills record with 340 last season. She's well on pace to surpass her record breaking performance from last season, averaging almost a kill per set more this season, and recording a hitting percentage almost 60 percentage points higher.

Du Bray has already recorded 10 double-doubles this season, highlighted by her performance against UNC Pembroke when she notched 28 kills and 15 digs with a .393 hit percentage. That performance helped her secure South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Volleyball Player of the Week honors.

She is a business administration major with a concentration in economics, and the daughter of John du Bray and Midge Maguire.
