HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's golfer Wanjoo Lee was voted SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2017.

Although the Cobras played in only one event during the month of April, Lee pieced together his best performance of the season at the South Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament. Lee shot back-to-back rounds of one-under par to win the South Atlantic Conference individual title by two shots and led the Navy and Gold to a second-place showing on the team leaderboard in the event. Lee shot rounds of 70 and 34 in the 27-hole event, which was shortened due to tremendous rain and flooding. His performance helped the Cobras maintain their No. 7 ranking in the southeast region, qualifying them for the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional Championship Tournament.

Lee currently has the second-lowest scoring average on the Coker roster, with a 73.9 season scoring average. He has one win, one top-five and two top-ten finishes, to go along with a 74.1 win/loss percentage.

Lee, a sophomore from Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, is a sports management major and is the son of Deuksoo Choi and Eundae Lee.
