HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker wrestler Derrick Nelson has been selected as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Month for Decmeber 2015.

The 133-pound senior had a stellar month of December going 4-0 in dual matches He started the month off with a 15-0 tech fall win versus Belmont Abbey on December 2. At the Newberry Duals (Dec. 13) Nelson posted a perfect 3-0 record, winning by fall in the match against Cumberland and by tech fall versus Brewton-Parker. At the Midwest Classic (Dec. 19-20), Nelson went 3-3 in the two-day event and placed 8th at 133 pounds.
